Red String

Red String is game that came about during Asylum Jam 2014. The story revolves around a young woman walking home alone late after a party. Unbeknownst to her, there have been a string of unsolvable disappearances around the country lately, all people who have been in a long term relationship (either dating or married). Tying in qualities of the red string of fate legend with that of a spurned, malevolent spirit (thinking along the lines of Orpheus and Eurydice), this woman (on her way home to the apartment she shares with a long-term partner) is next on the list. The entity only communicates through her cellphone, toying with her – can the player make the right decisions to avoid becoming the next victim?

The initial goal was to have multiple path system the player will go through depending on the choices being taken. However due to the 48hr time contrain a dyanmic story path system, together with creating the 3D world was too much to handle.

The final result is linear-based approach to the original story.

The following games are all experimental and in prototype phase. They do not depict complete game in no shape or form. All the following games only work using a keyboard. They will no work using mobile, tablet or touchscreen devices.

Floppy 2d

Early prototypes for what would eventually lead up to MooFo. Floppy 2D is a side-scrolling Indie game featuring pencil-styled 2D retro graphics. The objective is to direct a spaceship with a cow inside it through continuous columns coming from both ground and ceiling parts of level for the maximum time possible.

The aim of the game is to destroy the Meteors before they hit the ground or even worse the people.  The graphics and animations used are thanks to the classic SNES game Earthbound (Nintendo).

Use the left-mouse button to destroy the meteors before they reach earth.

4 Seasons

A prototype game created in a short period of time. This was one of my first projects using GameSalad. The game is simply to burst the water drops before they touch the water. This game represent incomplete game-play so please bare in mind that the game is purely prototype.

Use the left-mouse button to burst the water drops before the touch the water.

Zombie Fan

The idea of Zombie Fan is to blow away zombie and monster heads.

Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows on the keyboard to control the direction of the fan.

  • The aim is Level 1 is to blow away the zombie heads from the cat heads passing by.
  • The aim in Level 2 is to blow the red devils away from the twitter-like birds flying by.
  • The aim in Level 3 is to blow the zombie heads into the torches.

I first started teaching myself UDK in 2010 using YouTube tutorials, which has a substantial amount of tutorials for anyone interested. However at that time you couldn’t find a complete series of tutorials that guided you from start to finish. After searching for alternative and paid tutorials, I came across Eat3D. In my opinion, these are the best UDK tutorials!
